Hi Everyone
My name is Bridget and I live in Bangalore, India. I'm an author of 5 Cookery books specialising in Colonial Anglo-Indian Cuisine. I'll be posting a number of Anglo-Indian recipes on my page. These recipes are very easy to follow.
Regards, Bridget
I'm a Vermont mom, writer, and foodlover who started blogging in November 2008. My thrust is on balancing a love of great food and interesting cooking on the one hand, with the daily grind of parenting, etc. on the other. I live in a cohousing community, so I'm often cooking or planning meals for large groups. Right now I'm procrastinating getting started on the shopping for tomorrow's community dinner, which is an Epiphany-themed meal that will include sweet potato gnocchi, vegetarian sausages, broccoli saute, a traditional sweet focaccia called "La Fugassa de la Befana," and figs and oranges.
I look forward to reading what you've got going on and learning more about the fun world of the food blog!
Hello. I come from a long line of serious cooks. My grandmother was a caterer on Miami Beach starting in 1936. She catered Jewish weddings and bar mitzvahs for decades. Her son, my father, was a gifted amateur who took up cooking the the early '60s. I cooked as far back as I can remember and became interested in nutrition when I was in medical school. I ended up writing an eccentric "diet" cookbook about 10 years ago ("The Gourmet Prescription"), but I'm no longer so doctrinaire. I believe in healthful eating and also in the pleasures of great food, of any sort, eaten in moderation. I just started blogging and did so because I felt I had two things worth sharing. First, I have a handful of original ice cream recipes that I've developed over the last two years. Also, I have a set of strategies for taking conventional recipes from mainstream sources, e.g. www.epicurious.com, and making them healthier or taking healthy recipes and making them taste better. I'm really interested in feedback on my recipes, especially the ice creams.
My sister Christine Wheeler and I wrote IBS for Dummies and are now writing the IBS for Dummies Cookbook (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). We aren't "real" chefs so we are inviting any chefs who would love to be in the book to get in touch with us with 3 of their favorite recipes that would be compatible with a sensitive gut. I'm Laura from Southern California. I love eating and cooking good food, especially from fresh ingredients and in combinations that are other than might be expected. I also started primal eating about 6 months ago (primal emphasizes meat and veges, no grain, and a bit of fruit), so cooking has turned quite experimental.
