About Me:

I am the mama of 7 gorgeous kids and the wife of one equally gorgeous man. I started cooking when I was very young and got my culinary arts education 15 years ago. I've owned a small cafe for about two minutes, taught in-home cooking lessons for a little longer and have been writing about food since 2005.

I blog about food for myself and professionally for The Walt Disney Internet Group and Family.com where I am also-known-as ShortOrderMom.

My favorite foods are:

Tapenade, Goat Cheese and Tomatoes -- what would life be without them?

My favorite chefs/cooks are:

I adore Julia Child, Anthony Bourdain and Auguste Escoffier. I'm not big on contemporary chefs, but give them time and I'll like them, too ;o)

I really enjoy good food writers just as much as cooks/chefs. MFK Fisher and Peter Mayle are my most loved writers of all-time.
