Mediterranean Pasta Toss



The Mediterranean Diet isn't so much about gimmicks and trick for eating as it is just a lifestyle... Olive oil is used exclusively in the kitchen, wine and water are the main beverages, Cheese/yogurt, fruit/veggies, pasta/grains are all eaten daily. Farmers Market Veggie Pasta Trio



We've been trying to stay with the local Farmers' Markets as well as places like Sprouts and Trader Joes for quite some time now... though make trips to all those places can be a little tough. Chicken Provolone Flatbread with Caramelized Onions and Roasted Red Peppers



It's been busy with us. Over the fourth of July holiday, we decided to take a road trip to the beach. With gas prices, I was eager to find ways to save money, so I packed our lunch for the trip out and the first day. Simple sandwiches and fresh fruit, we saved money on two meals and a few snacks. All Time Favorite - Jägerschnitzel



One of my favorite dishes of all time is Jägerschnitzel, so when I found veal cutlets on sale at our local grocer that was obviously the first thing that came to mind!



For those that are unfamiliar with German cuisine, Jägerschnitzel is a breaded veal (or sometimes pork) cutlet that is fried and covered in a mushroom sauce. I have had it at many German restaurants and I was a little worried that it would not turn out anywhere close… Continue
